Therapy Intensives
In addition to traditional weekly psychotherapy, I offer extended and intensive therapy sessions for individuals and couples who would benefit from more focused, uninterrupted therapeutic work.
Intensives allow us to move more deeply into important issues without the time limitations of a traditional therapy hour. They can be particularly helpful when you feel stuck in longstanding patterns, are navigating a significant life or relationship crisis, or want dedicated time to focus on meaningful change.
Couples Intensives
Couples intensives provide extended time to step outside of familiar patterns and focus more deeply on the relationship. These sessions may be particularly helpful for couples experiencing recurring conflict, communication difficulties, emotional disconnection, intimacy concerns, attachment issues, major life transitions, or uncertainty about the future of their relationship.
Rather than trying to address complex relationship dynamics within a traditional therapy hour, an intensive allows more time to identify underlying patterns, understand each partner’s experience, and begin developing healthier and more effective ways of relating.
Betrayal & Infidelity Intensives
I also offer specialized intensive sessions for individuals and couples navigating betrayal, infidelity, or a significant rupture in trust.
The discovery or disclosure of an affair or other betrayal can create an overwhelming period of uncertainty and emotional distress. Intensive sessions provide additional time and structure to process what has happened, stabilize the immediate crisis, understand the impact of the betrayal, and begin determining what is needed moving forward.
For couples who wish to explore repair, our work may focus on creating emotional safety, understanding the dynamics surrounding the rupture, rebuilding trust, improving communication, and determining what healing and reconnection may look like.
Individual betrayal intensives offer a focused space to process the emotional impact of betrayal, including grief, anger, uncertainty, loss of trust, and questions about identity and the future.
Individual & Trauma Intensives
Intensives are also available for individuals who want concentrated therapeutic work around trauma and complex PTSD, attachment and relational patterns, significant life transitions, or other concerns that may benefit from more focused attention.
Depending on your needs and treatment goals, intensive sessions may incorporate EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), Post-Induction Therapy (PIT), and other trauma-informed and relational approaches.
Intensives are available to current clients as well as individuals and couples specifically seeking a more concentrated therapeutic experience. The length, structure, and focus of each intensive are determined collaboratively based on your needs and goals.
Please contact me for a complimentary consultation to discuss whether an individual, couples, or betrayal intensive may be a good fit for you.
